Welcome to the Web site for the International Association of Accident Reconstruction Specialists (IAARS).  This organization was formed in 1980 and is believed to be the oldest of its kind dealing with collective experience in motor vehicle accident reconstruction.  One of the unique features of IAARS participation is peer review of submitted material for acceptance at various levels of membership.  This organization has continuously worked to provide professional training and education in accident reconstruction for members and non-members.

We had a wonderful joint conference in Atlanta with SCARS, SeARS, the Georgia State Patrol, and other participants.  If you weren’t there, you missed a wonderful opportunity for training and education in a wide range of accident-reconstruction topics.  IAARS will hold its 2009 conference in Boise, Idaho.  Details have not been established yet; information will be posted on this Web site as soon as it becomes available.

As this is being written, we are working with SOAR to include a section of IAARS news and other features in their fine publication, The SOARce.  We will provide updates when necessary arrangements have been made.
